WHAT’S NEW IN 2016
FORD has always strived to stay ahead of the curve and pave the path for the auto industry and have continued to show that innovation sells automobiles. Moving into 2016 Ford has not changed their thought process and has come out with more revolutionary products to keep Ford at number one. Here at Key West Ford we’re proud to boast about the technology and innovation that we’re a part of. Below are a number of things to look forward to in the New Year.
Sync is the operating system that connects to your mobile phone, controls your music, adjusts your climate and, should your system be equipped with it, houses your navigation system. For 2016 the SYNC system has all new hardware, software, and design, among some of the changes are enhanced voice recognition for ease of use of the over 15,000 voice commands on the SYNC system. SYCN 3 has also streamlined the process of altering your navigation destination, added automatic updates when connected to wifi and has increased the speed of the system and enabled seamless app integration such as Spotify.
Pro Trailer Backup Assist
New to the 2016 Ford F150 is the Pro Trailer Backup Assist, whether you’ve backed up a trailer thousands of times or never before backing up a trailer can be a challenge. The new first in its class back up assist is operated by a knob on the dash, turn the knob to indicate how much the system should turn the trailer, the system them automatically steers the truck to turn the trailer in the direction desired. It’s that simple. The fear of jack knifing a trailer or hitting something while reversing is now gone.
In our opinion, the Focus RS is long overdue with it having been available in European countries for a number of years now, regardless, it’s finally here! Boasting 350hp of all-wheel drive power, this little Focus is no longer just a commuter vehicle. Loaded with Recaro racing seats, a standard 6 speed manual gearbox, 2.3L turbocharged EcoBoost engine, and aggressive exhaust note, this car is sure to fill your inner rally driver needs. If that doesn’t make you excited, maybe the ‘drift” button will seal the deal for you. Pressing this allows you to perform controlled slides, bypassing majority of the electronic vehicle stability controls. Here at Key West Ford we have already ordered ours as they are limited production for 2016.
The new F150 Limited meets the needs of customers who need a truck but do not want to sacrifice luxury, and with the Limited model, innovation comes standard – including SYNC 3 with AppLink, 360-degree camera system, adaptive cruise control, remote tailgate release and massaging front captain’s chairs. Exclusive to the Limited model are features like raised “LIMITED” lettering on the hood, unique grille and tailgate, 22” wheels, Mojave leather seats, unique gauge cluster, and VIN plate with production number set on the armrest.
